After creating the hangover opening, I feel that i'm far more confident with editing, therefore i would like to take risks and maybe explore a bit more with effects. When filming and editing the hangover we had to use flashbacks, so i think i'd like to explore this within my film.
I don't want to have direct flashbacks to a moment in time, but i want to have flash backs to images, for example a dairy flicking open, or a old fashioned photo. I'm hoping that this will be easier than editing a whole chunk with speech, as i know that something could go wrong with the continuity.
I think flash backs bring a sense of depth to a film. I want my opening to be fairly ambiguous, i want it to leave audiences wanting more and wondering about each element of the extract that they've just seen. I think by using flashbacks it gives it more dimensions and provides more options for the audiences imagination.
